The simplest way to draw attention to your main subject is to let it fill the frame. Filling the frame leaves no question about what it is that you want your viewers to see. There's an old photo adage that says when when you think you're close enough, take another step forward--and it's true. Also: ask yourself what your subject is and then exclude anything that doesn't answer that question. In this case the answer is obvious: pumpkins!
