It always amazes me how a photo can somehow capture the idealized memory...
I think idealized memories are exactly what I go after a lot of the time. In this case, especially, because I grew up near this pond and spent uncounted days there. Strangely, it hasn't changed much since I was a kid--so the memory not only still lives, but it's creating memories for new generations of kids.
